The I.D. pad for the 361 is under the distributor. It is a machined surface that is parallel to the base of the distributor. On the 413, the I.D. pad is on the front of the block on the driver side. It is parallel to the base of the intake galley, so it would be level if the engine was setting level. If there is an air compressor on the engine, the 413 ID or stamp pad would be under it. The 361 pad is kind of hard to see too. If you can scrape them off with a putty knife, the 361 should show a code starting with 36 and the 413 with 41. Hope this makes sense.
