Yes, the 203 is not the equal of a 205. Chain drive w/differential for full time operation. It does however have a lock feature that sends power to front and rear equally like the 205. An interesting feature is the gear reduction unit. Very strong and often mated to a 205 for a double gear reduction transfer case for serious 4 wheeling.
