My NP540 has a 1 1/2" regular 6 sided nut, although it is fairly thin/flat. No Cotter pin though. Mine is supposedly out of a 1976 S600 bus....... I had to start a new message because no matter which laptop I use (we have three), nor which browser I use (Chrome, IE, Yahoo, Firefox) I still can not reply to any existing topic. I get the captcha code error every time. Bucky
