Ya if I was removing that & the screws were stuck I’d just smash that plastic guide off & then heat & quench the screw. The guide costs nothing & so once the plastics out of the way you can easily heat it.
That’s what I’d do…I doubt you’ll lose any points at the car show with a repro wedge :)
