I to enjoy the research on the Power-Wagon, although the wife can get a little jealous about too much time spent doing it at times, so I have to be cognizant of that, as you say, it is fun and interesting in this hobby. Being that the stake and platform bed is rather rare, Chrysler may have contracted with a company specialized in making beds to provide the parts, much cheaper than tooling it themselves.
I didn't get the impression you were argumentative, but strong in your position of providing what known information we have so that we can provide accurate info to forum members. It takes detailed research, like you've done to provide that info. I don't know that any of us can say we are experts on the Power-Wagon, but research does help broaden our knowledge. I know I've posted incorrect info and others have corrected me which I appreciate, so hopefully members don't get offended when another member posts more accurate info, it's a knowledge learning experience for us all, something everyone strives for.
