I have not owned any WDX-WM300 model Power-Wagon any newer than 1956. My '56 had the fenders, inner door panels, inner cab kick panels, under fender splash shields, and cab all the same shade of green. The running boards were long gone and the cowl lights, head lights, and tops of all of the rest of the sheetmetal had been covered in primer. So I never scratched around on the cowl or headlight buckets to find the original color.

It appears that the later one gets in the production run (1946-1968) the more likely fenders, running boards, and possibly cowl and headlight buckets are to be all the same color as the cab.

It is known that early on that black fenders and running boards were black by default and that color coordinated fenders had to be special ordered. Not sure when that changed. But it appears that it slowly became an easier to get option and may have eventually become the norm.
