of any differential, the pw is probably the easiest to work on, since it has a removable third member ( conaining the pinion and carrier for the ring gears )you can work with it on the work bench. unlike the dana types used in the sweptline pws that have the third member built into the housing so all work is done under the truck! the main thing is to understand the gear mesh and how to adjust it and pay ttention to pre-load torques on the pinion and carrier, once done properly the diff will provide long time quiet service! I am going to change ratios in my w300 but since its dana 70 i will take it to a diff shop they will do it way faster and probably better than i would! Ive done a few ffpw diffs and made a couple special tools needed for seperating the case spider assy. have fun!
