I've always liked the ones that were used on the duece-and-a-half and 5 ton military trucks. They are heavy stamped steel and have 2 heavy screws top and bottom, so you can pull from the side and not tweak the sheet metal. I would tend toward installing a reinforcing plate inside the cab. I know I've seen them for sale in chrome, but I can't find anything on that right now.
