I owe it to Fred Coldwell. His book "Preproduction Civilian Jeeps, 1944-1945: Models CJ1 & CJ2" taught me how to scrutinize old published photographs. (It also helps in my daily job as a Quality Control Inspector).
These old pieces of literature and photos just keep popping up.
