Do you have the STA "Super Traxion Mud & Snow" or the STA "Super Lug Mud & Snow" on your WDX?
Just from looking a pictures of the tread style, I'm, guessing that between the two the Super Lugs are better in snow & ice and the Super Lugs might be better in mud.
I've never driven on either of them. I keep debating whether to get another set of wheels to mount some 9.00-16 tires on for winter use (I'm running Michelin 11.00-R16 XZL year round on my M37 now, but I've only done a bit of winter driving on them.)
