I located some original extendable tube brackets on Ebay several years ago. It's amazing what still shows up on there. The problem is you have to take the seller's word for the condition. Mine were rusted so tight that the adjusting nut wouldn't move. After lot of careful coaxing, PB Blaster, heat and wax they finally gave up and after cleaning and repainting they work fine. I started with the round mirrors but eventually I switched to the rectangular ones for a better view.
