I added a couple of YouTube videos for us to chuckle at. I last had this PW running in 2015, so I KNOW it can. Fast-forward to 2022, and I told my son that we only had 2 goals while I was home on leave- get it out of the elements/my shop, and to get it to idle on its own.
Well, initial fire is what you see. I traced plug wires, checked carb, re-gapped and cleaned plugs, and placed Marvel into the cylinders.
I then looked into the dizzy to see what the points looked like. Well, we found our culprit. Amazing that the truck even started and IDLED only from the current of a short in the points spring tab. Crazy!
She now idles well and without issue. Next goal is a decent compression test..
