according to my research and vaughns help, dana did make optional 4.10 as well as 4.56 and the standard 4.88 for dodge, the only catch is early 70s had a 1/2" pinion offset then around 72 they had a 5/8 offset, according to a couple places there is no problem fitting the 4.10s in the 4.88 carrier as long as the gearset is 1/2" offset, i already have quotes coming or both axles, thanks to all, john
