If you use a Signal-Stat 900 turn signal switch, you don't have to put a larger parking light housing in place of your existing small one. The original bulb stays in place. With the Signal-Stat, all of the magic happens inside the switch itself. The existing parking lamps still act as parking lamps but also do double duty as turn signals - all with the original single filament bulb.
