The key in the column of this truck is not a switch but a lock with 4 positions. custom royals are tilt columns trucks. one of the few pre-90 Dodge trucks that had a tilt column. The switch is run by a rod and is down underneath the dash on top of the steering column. I do have a new switch and will put it on and see if it helps.
