So Cheri and I bought a house in May. It came with a shop.
How we ended up here is a story within a story within another story that is really too long to tell here. But it involves sacrifice, procedures, surgeries, recoveries and ultimately the realization that we only live once and only for a short time at that.
So when I watched the for-sale sign being staked in the yard, I called, we saw, and we offered.
The house is nice and Cheri says it feels like it was built just for her. She said she's not changing a thing and I'm not allowed to, either.
The shop is huge. Never thought I'd get to the point where I'd actually have one. There's room enough for everything I own, and I will be able to park a truck outside if I'd like. I am not sure yet where I will put stuff, but I am looking forward to the challenge.
I keep most things to myself, but it's nice to see her smile again after all that's happened. And I'm grinning a little bit, too. We're still pinching ourselves..
