Get a 4 pound hammer, 2x4, step on the upper knuckle, place 2x4 end on lower half in bottom of 1/2 moon, and strike the 2x4. This will separate the halves enough to get screw drivers or pry bars to pry apart. Work both side together so you don't bind the halves.
