If you really want a dump bed you might consider one of the electric/hydraulic dump bed kits that are available. I have one under a trailer with high sides on it. I have used it for firewood, gravel, topsoil, and it's really impressive.
If you are in the process of either rebuilding a factory bed or building a flatbed now would be the time to do it.
