Tired if waiting for gaskets, making them with a ball peen hammer etc.. I bought a cheap laster cutting table and set myself up to cut custom gaskets for my vehicles.
It took some time figuring out all the ump-teen parameters to set on the laser cutting/drawing software. Spent days figuring out how in the world one sets up, programs and runs a laser thing. But, in the end, I was able to cut my first gasket. Yay!
No, I don't need yet anther axle gasket. But it made a good starting point. And I had a few laying about for measuring. The next experiment I wasnt to try, is to scan carb. parts and see if I can cut gaskets from the scans. (Fingers crossed)
And if you ever decide to try this yourself? DON'T do your experiments on the living room table. I find that does not help one's popularity at all!
