I bought some gasket material and made up five of them. Then picked the best four to use. Traced the old gasket, used scissors to cut them out. Bought a grommet kit that had a 7/16" hole punch for the holes.
This pushed me into another project that I've been thinking about since my last carb rebuild some years ago. I ordered a cheap LASER cutting machine. I figured most any of them could cut paper gaskets. I'm tired of doing the ball peen thing.
I picked up a 1942 Jeep to get running and I'm going to need a LOT of gaskets. If I can get the LASER cutter to work, this might be just the ticket.
Or a disaster.. We'll see.
