Perhaps guys like me who refuse to throw them away...
I have a neighbor who GAVE me 4 aftermarket GKN wheels that were made for the Budd PW lug spacing. On the tires are 38in Super Swampers that have less than 15 miles on them. The problem is that he removed them in 2001 after deciding that he didn't like them on his M37, and has since stored them outside! I aired them up and they are heavily checked, green with algae, and hard. I'm somehow attempting to convince myself that they are 'fine' for driving at 35mph...
