You are right about that. Moving away from family is difficult. My wife and I moved to Idaho in 1971, after 3 years in Cambria, Calif, after 26 years in So Calif.
The hard part was leaving our parents. The good thing was that our first of 4 kids was very young. So we were the bad guys for leaving the parents, but in the end they were happy for us that we raised the kids in Idaho.
