It’s going to depend a lot on the condition of the truck you start with and how perfect you want it be be. Everything you change from axles to engine is going to be very expensive. Just think labor costs money lots of money. I have no idea what M series charges per hour but in my area your looking at $150/hour. That is the going rate for body and mechanical work. Yea insurance body work is less because the insurance companies control the price. Buying replacement fenders, bed sides and doors is not cheap but if it takes more than 10 hours for a shop to repair any one of those parts it’s money ahead to buy Tinsdale parts.
Best thing to do is to know specifically what you want done before you approach a shop. Know the price of parts beforehand. The more knowledgeable you are the better the results and the better you will be able to control the budget.
