I went looking for the voltage regulator, and to my surprise, there isn't one, yet. I have never experienced a car/truck without a voltage regulator. The positive side of the alternator is connected directly to the battery. Is it safe for me to run the engine without a voltage regulator? What if any harm will come to the battery or alternator?
