To start measure the outer length if each guard to see if it started out as the same size guard.
The more you hit the metal the more you have the possibility of thinning the metal and making it elongate.
If you are good at wild work, cut a form that fits into the entire good guard, from square end to round, split it mid section, remove enough in he middle of the from so it will fit into the damaged one.
With some wedging expand the form out into the rounded area, while applying pressure to deformed area, keep wedging and only working on bad area of round area till the form fills the entire area
Try to find a steel form that is same size as good arch and use as an anvil, remember more heat you add, more hammer marks will appear, and more stretching will happen
Try cols forming with minimal hard strikes with hammer
