When you say you lost all the fluid in the front axle do you mean the oil from the ring/pinion or 3rd member? If so,
Disassemble the knuckles and rebuild to include the oil seal behind the trunnion bushing, trunnion bushings, knuckle felt seals, wheel hub inner oil seals. You probably will need to replace the trunnion pin bearings as part of the complete rebuild. The old leather seals have deteriorated.
Chances are you may have some oil on the brake shoes so the brakes may need addressed as well.
