Sanding all depends on the paint. If you use Urethane like Imron or Endura…even many enamels 320 is fine. Base clear? 600 minimum for the base. If you can see sanding scratches in the primer…you’ll see them in the paint likely. I’m no expert on the new waterborne paints but a)…I wouldn’t paint a power wagon with it & b) I believe the waterborne base is very thin which means fine sandpaper. Figure out what paint you’re using first.
