Had a good visit with the seller today, it’s about an hour from my place. Appears to be a 1/2-ton WC, pretty much stock under the sheet metal except for the core support, body mounts, etc. Yellow paint on the frame points to time on a road crew, probably. I couldn’t read the winch number. It started and idled, didn’t smoke and didn’t seem to knock. Kind of crude and cool - I’m trying to talk myself out of it. I can’t get my back to cooperate much lately and I’ve got a yard full of projects … and none of them need 1/2-ton WC parts. So of course I want it.
