My '85 W150 had some very old 31-10.50-15s on the stock wheels when I purchased it last summer. It now has 265/70R16 Cooper AT/W on black steel 16x8 wheels. Almost the same tire height but the current tires are wider by an inch +.
If sticking with the 15s, you might consider 32-11.50.
