I just went through this on my 2021 GMC 3500HD. It cost $115k new after tax & 8 days old had 2 drunk ladies do $10k damage to it. So the Insurance company here…they don’t pay accelerated depreciation even though I now have to declare that its had $10k damage when I sell it. So that’s not exactly correct…they will pay it but only if you sell the vehicle??? Sounds odd right?
Yes…they told me that unless I sell the truck I haven’t lost anything so I’m not entitled to anything???
They haven’t heard the last of me yet ;)
