It does have a dump bed but no hydraulics (just a pivot in the rear). The extra axle looks like a front axle off some other truck, presumably with the king pins welded in place. It's not powered. It has its own springs mounted inboard of the "real" rear springs. 318 does not budge even a little bit when I work the fan back and forth. No coolant in the radiator. Oil is clean and right at the full mark. NP420 tranny appears to shift okay. Hydraulic clutch and brakes are non-op. Wheels are only 16", compared to 20" on my truck. Windshield is cracked, remaining glass is okay. "DODGE" letters are missing from the hood. Could not tell if the floor was rusted out or not. Sheet metal and running boards looked straight. Has a flat bed with removable steel side panels, not the same as mine. Looks more like a cattle truck than hay truck to me. Can't easily post pictures of it here.

Rear axle is Dana 70 just like mine. Most curious difference to me is this one has 8 leaves in the rear spring plus 4 leaves in the overload springs, whereas mine has 4 leaves in the main springs and 2 in the overload springs, at least near the front where they're easy to see and count. Yet both say "rear spring capacity 3600 lbs" on the data plate. One of the things I was hoping to get off of this is a good rear spring to replace my broken one, but it looks a lot different. Is that the difference between a '61 and '62?

I talked with the man whose fathers' it was (not the current seller) but a relative, and he said they used it for getting wood a lot back in the '90s. Says he has the title "somewhere" but hasn't found it. I can't see this being anything but a parts truck, though. It's well sunk into the ground, but I could probably tow it out with the M35 as per Tom's picture below. It's only about 5 miles from me, with flat ground all the way, so it's tempting if we can agree on a price.
