Hi, guys! It's been a while since my last post but I've been lurking in the background for months! MY 1947 WDX project is nearing completion and I find myself in possession of a few parts that were purchased for the restoration but not used. I have an MU winch that has the usual broken/missing control arm mounting tabs on the side casting but is otherwise serviceable given a rebuild or refresh. Like most of these, there is no date code stamped on the boss on the gear housing. I also have a 1946-stamped MU2 that is complete minus the control arm pivot and brake shoe assembly which are still available from Paccar/ Braden. This winch would also be serviceable given a rebuild or at least a refresh. Both winches have the front angle but unfortunately, I do not have the rears. I am just kind of testing the waters here to see if anyone would need either of these. If you are reading this you already know how insanely heavy and bulky these are to ship, (Ask me how I know)! I am located in Southern California (91784) so you can use that to figure out what it would take to get either of these to you. I know I shouldn't care but I am very hopeful that these can go to someone who will appreciate what they are and use them for a period correct purpose. If any of this interests you I can be contacted at [email protected] or you can message me here and we can talk about logistics and prices. Oh, and by the way, the reason that I did not use these is that A): the MU came with the truck and B): I was able to find a 1947 stamped winch that i ended up using!
