Tire are designed to run at a specific pressure. Any other pressure forces the tire to run in an abnormal manner. If it's under inflated, the tire runs hotter and over time the heat weakens the cords which can result in a blow out. It also places strains on the Power/drive-train due to an increase in road friction from a wider foot print. NDT have more material than standard tires and don't flex as much. Stay with the manufacturers recommend amount.
