for sure! springs can loose there resiliency over age and flexing...when we had our fleet of 69-71 w300 and w500 wreckers springs were re-arced or rebuilt every 5 years or so otherwise they woulkd sag and start wearing out tires....i always hated the 69-71 w200s because of the reverse arced springs to give a lower stance! the 61-68s had well arced springs, when we equipped a w200 with a snowplow, the front springs were always rebuilt with an extra leaf to support the weight. we did the same with front winch trucks including our flatfenders. the ride was a little stiff but the trucks kept their stance well. there was a great spring shop in reno we used for decades.
