through the years i have found that oils vary in pressure depending on brand....chevron 40wt has always been my preference with less of a pressure change at idle than any other brnd, the worst was sinclair, it would run at 40psi at 1500 rpm all day but would drop the needle to zero at idle....yet never had any tappet or lower bearing knock...this too was an issue on multi-vis grades i ran in my fleet of dodge vans...
