There is hope. Of 4 boys, only the oldest, 40, really has any interest in older cars. He has a 63 Ranchero. I helped him reseal a different engine before he had a pot head mechanic install it for him. That was 4 years ago and his 6 cylinder Ranchero made it to Reno traveling from sea level to over 7000 ft in 90 deg heat. My 56 Chevy with a 5000 mile 283 didn't make it and it did make it just fine when the engine was rebuilt.(I think I found the issue) He just bought a spare engine and wants me to help him rebuild it so it is ready whenever he needs it and to learn about rebuilding an engine.
