Sign me up. When they come down in price I will own one. Not much good for a cross country trip. But for in-town driving I think it'd be prefect.
Heck, I could have used a hybrid when my driveway was 100.3 miles from work. Drove that through $4 fuel. I could have saved a lot of pocket money.
The best setup will be an on board diesel generator, just like a locomotive..
Guys, CO2 is insulation. The more there is, the warmer it gets. And the reality is the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing faster than the trees can eat it. Burn more coal, get more CO2. Burn more oil, get more CO2. Cut down (or burn) more trees, keep more CO2. At some point, the heat gain will be enough that our lives will really be affected.
Here in Iowa, the wind always blows. So we have windmills all over. We get a lot of sun, so there are some solar farms, too. Will it ever be enough to eliminate fossil fuels. No. I think it all helps, though.
