I remember years ago before i had no problems with altering a Power Wagon split the original 16" wheels on one of my big engine lathes, roll a wide band then weld it in. Take them to local Firestone and they would mount a set of Firestone Super All Traction tires all with zero problem. Now none of the tire shops will even TOUCH a stock 16" wheel. I'm getting too old to dismount and mount these by hand.
