They made them out to 0.080 but I don't think anyone makes them that far out now, .060 may be the limit. That doesn't mean a machinist couldn't find pistons beyond .060, but the farther you go out the hotter the engine runs. You may have heating issues if you went farther than .060. I had a jeep with a Flathead 4 that was bored .060 over, the machinist wouldn't go any farther, and I could not keep the engine cool even with a bigger radiator. My 230 is bored .040 over and still runs cool.

The machinist I deal with in my town works a lot of Flathead Fords and they go out 0.100 on the bore and don't seem to have heating issues. He said I could go that far, but I'm with Kaegi, I don't think I would do it.
