If this truck has been driven all along it might be safe in doing this. If on the other hand it has been sitting for a long time not running i would advise against it. Some things can be handled beside the road but others such as a rubber brake hose collapsing will leave you with brakes locked and smoke coming from under the fenders. I would rather spend a haul bill and get your truck home safe and sound because you will have plenty of work to do when you do get home.
