At the back of the speedometer is a long head screw with a felt in the center, you want to remove it and add some light oil to the felt to lubricate the speedometer drive to prevent seizing. Check to see if your speedometer has it. Lubricate the cable with chassis grease as well if you haven't. I assume the Alt. Dist., and all other fluids have been check. You are driving a truck with a historical reputation! Good Job!
