Hi all,
I finally got tired of being nagged about taking up space in "my half" of the garage, so I started moving things around and next thing you know, I was back into it after a long absence. My WC-12 project is moving again! One of the things I was wringing my hands over was my frame, and specifically that I wanted a short wheelbase rig, but I wasn't sure that cutting the frame was the "right thing to do"...after a good long think, I finally accepted that the frame probably should have been put into the scrap yard long before I grafted on the winch front-end, so any resurrection is a win, and I made the leap and cut out 12" of frame. Most of it rotten. So now I'm free.
So I've been banging out dents, and getting ready to weld it back together. It's a lot nicer to manipulate half a frame, I must say. Weather isn't great for painting now, but I should have it together shortly, then onto installing the power steering pump that has been sitting for 5 years. The rebuilt running gear awaits, just need to find those springs!
