On the down shift dont be afraid to tap that accelerator but get a good rev. After a while you will be able to fine tune the amount of accelerator rev depending on how fast your going during the downshift. You will always need a lot of rev when going from third to second. Also dont get lazy by not pushing the clutch all the way in. It happened naturally at my age (brain fog) and I had to remind myself to push it to the floor on each shift. Took me 2 months to consistantly be able to shift up and down in any condition without any cherps on the gears. I drive a 3/4 ton WC
