As I am coming to conclusion with restoring my WC12 to its former glory (just need to finish up a few things in cab and install wiring harness. I need some ideas, tips suggestions on what to do next. I am thinking more and more about an M37. Positives include: relativity easy to find a restorable one I can afford - prefer winch model. Parts still plentiful, Pretty good performance-rugged 2 speed transfer and share a lot of parts with other Dodges (of course they are slow, I know. Lots of people out there for support. Down side: value not likely to rise rapidly for investment purposes. I used to think that they were boring to look at but over time I am growing fond of them. Open cab is appealing.

Other choice is another open cab WC 1/2 to or a 3/4 ton WC Command car or weapons carrier- hard to find one thats beyond hope and restorable ones very expensive. Weapons carrier, 1 speed transfer and under the skin not much different than my 1/2 ton. Hard to find one that does not require major time and $ investment.

I'm not at all into the non WDX-WM300 PW civilian trucks.

Other ideas, I like the WWII International M-2-4 but hard to find parts and restorable truck. Very slow. I like the look of them tho.

All my adult life I have wanted a Series III short wheelbase land Rover. Drawbacks: include, very expensive for nice one, aluminum body panels hard to repair? Positives: value increasing rapidly, fun to drive, parts plentiful including overdrive. Similar with Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser prices risen sharply.

I have a B4 PW and CJ3B Jeep- not really very roadworthy over 50mph for Jeep. Maybe a mid 60's CJ5 with Buick V-6.

Love to hear your suggestions.
