I have had a couple of new wheel cylinders with very tight piston rubber on the small bore side.
I was concerned that the brake shoe spring would not be able to fully retract that front side shoe and I would get a dragging brake. The wheel cylinder was just about impossible to move with thumb pressure. By comparison the large bore side, would move with a small to moderate effort. No concern there, but my comparison the small bore side was way too stiff.
Eventually solved it by replacing the rubber that goes between the spring and the piston.
Has anyone run into such an issue with wheel cylinders before?
