Every one I’ve had was the H141 with the FDS7500.
Love those big axles. Kinda surprised there were no other gear options but I guess come to think of it…I can’t really imagine wanting to go faster in a W500 :)
Where it becomes an issue is when you want to swap in a diesel that runs at a lower RPM. My personal opinion…I just don’t like other axles in these. Those kooky big axles are what make a W500.
I know my old 1960 W500 I sold Larry Less, he installed Dana 80’s that fill the front wheel wells out more up front but I like the narrow front axle with the giant fender flares…that’s just what a W500 looks like! :)
