I read in the early 90's that Jeep Wagoneer (SJ) owners had the highest median income of owners any model of SUV. Briefly they were a status vehicle and commanded a hefty resale price. In many ways they were ahead of their time, same for the IH Travelall. Also I believe they were the last domestic vehicle to offer a carburetor.
