The 46 - 56 PW is the most sought-after collectable iconic truck of the Power Wagons, and a favorite truck by collectors. When you consider the original price of $1,627 in the early 50's, and an immaculately restored model worth up to $65,000 or higher, that's a %3,995 increase in value, which only continues to climb in value.
So for a minimal amount of money invested by an auto restorer, there is the potential for BIG payout on the bidding block. It's no longer just the guy that wants one because they are tough and cool looking, it has been transformed into a lucrative business.
Look at Desert Power Wagons, Legacy, and others, and the price they are getting from wealthy buyers, not only U.S, but overseas as well. Sellers are starting to catch on.
So the word to the wise is - if you want a PW, buy the best you can afford, while you can.
