We've narrowed it down to 2 or 3 very pricey items. I have decided to live with it.
After 3 weeks in the shop it was determined that the draw isn't continuous, but intermittent.
My batteries passed the test for load, but they are 7 years old so I replaced them with 2 new ones.
Perhaps the new batteries will be able to handle the problem. If not, I will continue to use the maintainer, particularly when I don't drive it frequently.
My wife's '04 Honda has had a similar problem for years. It's constantly connected to a maintainer because the car is driven very little. Anyone want to buy a 17 year old Honda Accord with only 50k miles? It's one of the rare models with a 5 speed manual transmission. Ha Ha.
