The first thing you did when you started to disassemble your truck was to hack the old harness to pieces and throw it away. Because "it's old and crusty and who needs it, I'll just buy another one".
RULE ONE of repairs: Never throw NOTHING away until the new one is proven to work. NOTHING. EVER.
Things the old one would tell you,handy to build a new one, and NOT on the wiring diagram: Lengths, terminal sizes and types, where sheaths begin and end, bends, tie down/clamp locations,......
